My name is Kirstyn.
I am a registered social worker, with years of experience working in individual mental health counselling and psychotherapy. I have grown up (and lived in) Toronto for most of my life, and have experienced first-hand the emotional burn-out, social pressures, and daily stresses that present themselves from city-living.
I came into social work after my own personal struggles with body image, anxiety, and disordered eating patterns. I have had the unique opportunity to be both the therapist, and the client, and have learned exponentially from all of life’s greatest (and most exhausting) opportunities.
I possess a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Carleton University, and a Master of Social Work degree from Ryerson University. I am professionally trained in various therapeutic modalities, specifically those which promote psychodynamic and trauma-informed work.
